Shoot In China is a video production company based in Shanghai, established in 2012. We work with international brands, agencies and visiting production companies on commercials, corporate films, documentaries and branded content, combining filmmaking with local production experience.

Developing a Film with a Direct Client
A company may need a brand story, an employee interview or a product film without having a script in place. Our director and producer discuss the subject with the client, identify useful people and scenes, and develop an approach for filming.
The story can grow from the business itself: how people work, what a product does or the experience of a customer. We connect those details to a treatment and schedule, with the production arrangements developed alongside the creative work.
Bilingual Production on the Ground
Our producers work with English-speaking clients and Chinese-speaking contributors, crew and venue contacts. Creative references and filming requests are explained to the people involved, with any practical limitations brought back into the discussion.
Shanghai is our base, with production contacts elsewhere in China when a story continues beyond the city. We can coordinate local units or a travelling team, keeping the arrangements connected to the same film.
Continuing Through the Edit
We can continue with editing, colour grading, sound, graphics, subtitles and language versions, or prepare the footage for a client’s own post team. The relationship between production and post helps the material captured on location become the film developed with the client.
