China Aputure Light Rental

Shoot In China coordinates Aputure lighting rentals through production and supplier contacts in China. Based in Shanghai since 2012, we support visiting filmmakers, agencies and brands with local equipment arrangements and the people needed to prepare and operate it.

A shoot moving between cities does not always need to transport the same lighting package everywhere. We work with the DOP and producers on where local sourcing makes sense, keeping the intended images and the schedule part of the same discussion.

China Aputure Light Rental

One Lighting Approach Across Several Locations

A corporate series may film interviews in several offices, while a commercial may move between a studio and working locations. The lighting references provide continuity, but each space has different dimensions, access and existing light.

We coordinate requests with local rental contacts and lighting crew, comparing the available fixtures and modifiers with the intended setup. Where the exact model differs, the DOP or gaffer can discuss an alternative and what it means for the scene.

Fixtures Described Accurately

Aputure’s LS 600x Pro is bi-colour; STORM 1200x is a STORM-family tunable-white fixture. Full-colour units belong to other specific product lines. The amaran 300c, for example, is an amaran RGBWW fixture, rather than an Aputure model called LS 300c.

Those distinctions help make a rental request precise. We confirm exact model names, power requirements, accessories and quantities with the relevant supplier for the dates. We can discuss Aputure and other suitable options without treating an old catalogue as a list of guaranteed stock in every city.

Local Sourcing or Equipment Transport

Our producers compare local rental with moving equipment along the production route. The choice depends on availability, travel time, the package and the lighting personnel involved.

Supplier bookings, delivery, preparation and return are coordinated with the filming schedule. For productions in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou or other locations, a common production contact helps keep those arrangements connected while the local departments handle their own work.

Crew and Production Behind the Package

Local gaffers, assistants and grip personnel can work alongside a visiting DOP or lighting lead. Bilingual production support carries requests between the visiting team, local suppliers and location staff.

The package can be part of a wider production involving camera, sound and location coordination, or a focused lighting arrangement. Our contribution is the continuity between the creative request and the local rental details as the shoot moves across China. Email: [email protected].
