China Photographers Artists Agents

Why Work with a Photographer Representative

A photographer representative (also called an artist agent) is your bridge between creative talent and production needs. They:

  • Match you with photographers whose style fits your project.
  • Handle negotiations, contracts, and availability.
  • Coordinate with production teams for smooth scheduling.
  • Ensure brand guidelines and creative vision are aligned.

In China, this role is especially valuable for overseas clients who need a local partner to navigate language, cultural differences, and the fast-paced creative industry.

Our Network of Photographers in China

We provide access to photographers in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and other major cities, covering:

  • Fashion & Editorial – magazine shoots, runway, and advertising.
  • Commercial Photography – lifestyle, product, and campaign visuals.
  • Corporate Photography – executive portraits, events, and marketing assets.
  • Artistic Projects – conceptual work, exhibitions, and creative collaborations.

Full-Service Creative Support

Alongside our photographer representatives, Shoot In China offers:

  • China video production services for integrated campaigns.
  • Location scouting and permit handling.
  • Equipment rental and crew coordination.
  • Bilingual production management from pre-production to delivery.

Photography Brief, Usage and Selection

Send the campaign brief, visual references, shoot dates, location and intended image use before requesting photographer options. A portfolio should be assessed against the required style and subject, rather than the size of the photographer’s general client list. Confirm whether the assignment needs portraits, products, lifestyle images or editorial coverage.

Agree the number of shooting days, final image selections, retouching and delivery dates. Usage territory, duration, media and any exclusivity requirements should be stated in the brief and confirmed with the representative. Talent, locations, styling, assistants and equipment may be separate scope items, so identify who coordinates each part before booking.

For a combined stills and video campaign, prepare separate deliverable lists and a shared schedule. Allow the photographer and video crew time for their own setups, while keeping contributor availability and brand review consistent.
