Our involvement starts with the production rather than a fixed catalogue. A director and DOP may already have a camera and lens preference; another team may need a practical package for a short interview assignment. We coordinate the local equipment around those needs and the location.

Camera and Lens Arrangements

We source camera bodies, lenses, monitoring and camera accessories through local rental contacts. Availability, the exact model and the package contents are confirmed for the filming dates, with alternatives discussed when a requested item is unavailable.

Lens mounts, power, media and monitoring need to work together. We coordinate those details with the camera department, including equipment brought by an overseas crew, so the locally rented items fit the production.

Lighting, Grip and Sound for the Location

The package can include lighting, modifiers, stands, grip, recorders, microphones and monitoring. An office interview, a product setup and a large working space each call for a different arrangement.

Our producer and local technicians discuss access, power, available space and the planned scenes. Equipment is selected with those conditions in mind, avoiding a package that looks complete on a list but is awkward to use in the room.

Local Technicians and Delivery Coordination

Camera assistants, lighting crew and sound recordists can be arranged alongside the rental. A bilingual production contact carries requests between the visiting team and local suppliers, including changes during preparation or filming.

We coordinate collection, delivery and return times with the location and crew. Where the schedule allows, preparation includes checks with the relevant technicians. If an issue arises, our team works with the supplier on troubleshooting or a suitable replacement, subject to local availability.

Equipment as Part of the Production

For shoots continuing beyond Shanghai, we can coordinate equipment through contacts closer to the filming location or arrange transport where appropriate. The choice depends on the schedule, the package and the local support available.
