China Video and Photo Crews
Our China video and photo crews work on assignments that need moving images and still photography from the same people, product or location. Shoot In China has supported international productions since 2012, with a Shanghai base and a network of camera, photography and production specialists across the country.
A campaign may need a film, portraits and product photographs within the same visit. Those jobs share a subject, but the photographer and film crew do not always need the same light, background or time with a contributor. Our producers coordinate the work so each department has room to make its images.
Film and Stills in the Same Production
We can arrange a cinematographer or camera operator alongside a photographer, with assistants, lighting and sound according to the assignment. The crews work from a shared schedule, with time allocated to the different setups.
An interview may be followed by portraits, or a product may move between a filmed demonstration and a still-life setup. We coordinate those transitions with the client, crew and contributor, rather than assuming both departments can capture everything simultaneously.
People, Products and Working Locations
Combined shoots can include executive portraits, employee stories, products, facilities and event coverage. In an office or factory, our producer works with the local contact on access, available rooms and the people being photographed or interviewed.
The camera and photography teams can collect supporting images while other work continues on site. Lighting, sound and equipment placement are coordinated around the location and the two sets of images the client needs.
Bilingual Coordination for International Clients
Our producers connect English-speaking clients with Chinese-speaking contributors, crew and venue staff. We explain creative references and requests, and help the client follow conversations on location.
A visiting agency can bring its own director or photographer and use our local departments. We can also arrange the full filming and photography team, with remote participation where the location and technical setup allow it.
Footage and Photographs for Different Uses
Post-production can include video editing, colour, sound, subtitles and photo retouching. We can prepare material for the client’s own editors and retouchers, or take the work through to finished versions.
Our team coordinates how the files are organised and handed over, keeping the video and photography outputs connected to the same campaign or company story. The final material can serve a website, social channels, presentations or internal communications.

Shanghai is our base, with crew and production contacts in Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hong Kong and other locations. We can connect several local shoots through a common production contact and an agreed visual approach.
