RED Body and Workflow Requirements

The model names above are options to discuss, not a guarantee that every body is available. Confirm the exact RED model, lens mount, recording format, sensor coverage, monitoring and support requirements before the rental is agreed.

Media, readers, power and accessories must match the chosen body and workflow. Share the post-production requirements, test schedule and planned shooting hours. Agree camera assistant or DIT support, transport, rental conditions and media handover separately.

Planning Your Shoot

Send the filming dates, city, brief, equipment or crew requirements and delivery schedule to [email protected]. We can then confirm the scope, availability and quote.

Camera Tests and RED Media Handover

Before collection or delivery, agree a camera preparation and test window. Check the selected body with its lenses, media, power, monitoring and support accessories. Confirm the requested frame rates, recording settings and any post-production requirements with the receiving editor; compatibility should be checked for the exact camera package.

Identify who supplies and manages the recording media during the shoot. Agree folder naming, copies, verification and the transfer destination before filming. A camera assistant, data wrangler and DIT have different responsibilities, so specify the roles rather than assuming every rental includes them. Confirm the return time, accessories checklist and any agreed conditions for transport, damage or missing equipment.
