Chengdu Fixer Services | Film & Video Support
Planning a shoot in Chengdu? Shoot In China provides Chengdu fixer services and local production support for international crews filming in Sichuan and Western China.
From documentaries and branded content to commercials, corporate videos, interviews, and travel stories, our bilingual English-Chinese team helps overseas producers manage locations, permits, crew, equipment, transport, translation, and on-set coordination.
With more than a decade of production experience across China, we help make filming in Chengdu more practical, efficient, and locally grounded.
Why Chengdu?
Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is one of Western China’s most distinctive production bases. The city combines modern business districts, relaxed street life, historic temples, teahouse culture, food markets, bamboo forests, research parks, and access to dramatic mountain landscapes.
For international productions, Chengdu can work well for:
- Documentary filming
- Corporate video production
- Commercial and branded content
- Travel and food stories
- Technology and manufacturing films
- Lifestyle and culture shoots
- Interview filming
- Nature and landscape-based productions
Chengdu is also a practical base for filming across Sichuan, including nearby countryside, mountain areas, panda-related locations, heritage sites, and regional industrial zones.
Our Chengdu Fixer Services
Location Scouting
We help international producers find suitable filming locations in Chengdu and Sichuan, from downtown streets and modern offices to traditional neighborhoods, restaurants, cultural sites, factories, countryside, and natural landscapes.
Our team can provide local research, reference images, access checks, and practical advice on what is realistic for your schedule and production style.
Permit & Access Support
Filming in Chengdu may require location approval, venue permission, public filming coordination, or additional checks depending on the subject and location.
We help review permit requirements early, especially for public spaces, commercial venues, cultural sites, universities, factories, transport hubs, drone filming, and government-related areas.
Local Crew & Equipment Coordination
Need a DOP, camera operator, sound recordist, gaffer, drone operator, photographer, production assistant, or local fixer in Chengdu?
Shoot In China coordinates trusted Chengdu-based crew and equipment suppliers, with additional support available from our wider China production network when needed.
We can help arrange:
- Cinematographers / DOPs
- Camera operators
- Sound recordists

- Production assistants
- Translators and bilingual fixers

Logistics & Scheduling
Chengdu shoots often involve moving between city locations, countryside areas, industrial zones, or nearby scenic regions. Good logistics planning is essential.
Our local production support can include transport coordination, hotel advice, schedule planning, call sheets, crew movement, local casting, meal planning, and on-set coordination.
Bilingual Fixers & On-Set Support
Our English-Chinese fixers help bridge communication between international crews and local contributors, locations, vendors, drivers, authorities, and production teams.
On set, we support translation, local negotiation, contributor coordination, release forms, schedule updates, and general production problem-solving.
